ANS Reset Techniques
Autonomic nervous system reset techniques diagnose and heal stress, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD. I use them to flip the nervous system out of fight or flight and into a ventral vagal state, or into relaxed alertness
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the ancient science of placing fine needles in the body, strategically, to restore homeostasis (aka balance). The needles do not hurt. I use acupuncture in a unique way — to shift your electrochemical profile and evoke ANS reset — designed to promote feelings of ease, focus, and connection.
Breathing & Mindfulness Coaching
Bringing mindfulness to how we breathe opens up our capacity to let in what we need and let go of what we don’t, not just metaphorically but in our physiology. Let’s reclaim the breath and everything that comes with it, including vitality and voice.
Chi Nei Tsang (visceral therapy)
Chi Nei Tsang is the practice of healing through abdominal touch and guided breathing. It is deeply centering, increases blood flow to your internal organs and is used to address menstrual pain, infertility, digestive problems, headaches, insomnia, mood disorders, respiratory weakness and many other conditions.
Craniosacral Therapy
A method of gentle head and body holds to normalize the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and heal post concussion, scar tissue constriction, chronic pain, Parkinson’s, mood disorders, or infants after a difficult birth. CST helps reduce pain and restore function.
Cupping
Cups are applied to the surface of the body with suction, and are used to improve blood flow and treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, or musculoskeletal injury, and certain types of pain and swelling. This therapy is often experienced as an invigorating relief of tension in the body.
Facial Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture is a massage and fine-needle treatment designed to vitalize your face and neck — so you can put your best face forward. It’s non-toxic and feels incredibly relaxing, too.
Functional Medicine Testing
FMT uses blood, urine, and stool analysis to look at the chemistry of your body and catch imbalances before they cause disease or to understand the presence of bothersome symptoms. I can help you determine which tests are most useful for you and how to interpret the results.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha involves a gentle scraping of the skin to help improve circulation and treat chronic pain, poor circulation, inflammation, fatigue, and emotional stress.
Holistic Counseling
My unique approach to mental health is a form of personal activism and problem solving techniques. I believe we are fundamentally good and fundamentally equal. Developing choices rooted in fairness and empathy heals the individual and the community.
Holistic Nutrition Assessment
My holistic nutrition assessment aligns the quality of food choices with how they are prepared, the rituals around each meal, the timing of eating and the company you invite to the table. My recommendations are specific to you, easy to follow, and sumptuous.
Myofascial Release
This is a form of medical massage that helps to release painful contracture, increase range of motion, and relieve musculoskeletal pain. I frequently combine this technique with cupping and acupuncture when treating pain and injury.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient technique of channeling energy through the palms of the hands in a gentle, non-invasive manner. This vital spiritual energy activates healing, detoxifying physical and emotional blockages while bringing about deep relaxation and calmness.
Shamanism & Energetic Traditions of Care
Shamanism is nearly a lost art and I do not begin to compare myself to the shamans I revere and study. But I do believe deeply in the work and in keeping traditions and practices alive. I see myself as a bridge of reverence and respect for old ways, helping to keep them from being lost. I am of European descent, and as such learned my grandmothers’ traditions. I have been delighted to discover that they bear a striking resemblance to many indigenous traditions of care — that is to say, guided by one’s right place in the natural balance of life found through love and respect for all beings.
